When it's bad, it's really bad!
"I have a bump in my mouth, I can't sleep at night."
''My child fell and broke his tooth.''
Unfortunately, emergencies are part of life. The trick is to remain calm and to act quickly!
Dental Pain
You have a toothache ? The causes can be multiple. Come see us for an assessment in order to find and eliminate the cause of your discomfort. In the meantime, take painkillers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen if your medical condition allows it.
Dental Abscess
You feel a bump in the mouth? You probably have a infection. Do not delay to visit us for a consultation. Dental infections worsen quickly and can reduce your quality of life. They must be treated as fast as possible with antibiotics to control the spread of bacteria in your blood system.
Dental Fracture/Avulsion
You received a blow on the face and part of your tooth broke or worse, it is completely avulsed from your mouth? Call us as soon as possible. In the case of an avlusion, research shows that you only have 20 minutes to put the tooth back in its socket.
What to do if your tooth is avulsed?
- Rinse DELICATELY the tooth with water WITHOUT touching the root.
- Replace (in the correct position) the tooth in its socket if possible.
- Come to our office as quickly as possible.
- If you are not able to reposition the tooth yourself, keep it under your tongue! Yes, you read correctly! If not, the second best option is to put it in milk. Come and see us soon as possible.
